How did you meet Bosqueen?
Well I've always known about her a little after she debuted. I followed some of her career and honestly I wanted to meet her to see if she could help me or WiSH with a video project at the time. Eventually we met up, became friends and would eventually join the label family.
How is it working with her?
Honestly she is very down to earth, she is your typical boss lady. She isn't stuck up but she definitely knows what she wants and that is excellence.
Since we are going back to when it all first started with Bosqueen.. what is your favorite song and/or album? Video?
One video and song that stuck out to me is Rhythm Nation The message behind that is strong and it really set her a part from anyone in the field.
As an artist do you feel Bosqueen gets her "props" from her peers? (Outside the label)
I feel like she has a general consensus of respect amongst her peers. But with that respect comes with a lot of hate because of her position, when you are on top many people will always come out against you.
In your opinion, who do you think (or if you think there is) so much controversy around Bosqueen and Royalty Records?
It's like Nicki Minaj has stated in past interviews. When you are doing nothing and when you are staying in one place everyone loves you, but when you are climbing up the ladder and when you are at the top everyone hates you. One opens themselves up to public scrutiny and hatred when they pick a field that she and the label is on.
What was your first impression of her when you first met her?
I always thought she seemed like a kind person, she was genuine and that's why we meshed so well. I've never had a bad moment with her honestly. She is like a sister.
Has she impacted you in anyway?
She helped form my consciousness when it comes to the industry and as an artist. Don't accept nothing mediocre, don't be with people who don't bring you nothing positive and strive to do better than yourself.
